Supalux is a strong, lightweight non-combustible building board for use in many fire resisting and general-purpose building applications.
It is a high performance board, which can be used in constructions providing up to 240 minutes fire resistance. It is simple to work and fix, easy to decorate, resistant to the effects of moisture and will not rot or decay.
Supalux is a calcium silicate board reinforced with selected fibres and fillers, formulated without asbestos or any other inorganic fibre. It is off-white in colour and has a smooth sanded surface on one face with a lightly textured reverse face. Boards are plain or perforated (to order).
Once fixed, Supalux can be left undecorated or be easily finished with paints, wallpapers or tiles. A veneered grade is also available.
It is ideal for use in buildings where there is a high humidity, e.g. swimming pools, bottling plants, food processing plants, kitchens, bathrooms etc.
Supalux is rigid and robust. It is easy to handle and can be worked with normal wood working tools.
It is supplied in square or rectangle boards and ceiling panels with square cut or rebated long edges and square cut short edges in the sizes shown in the table below. Tongue and grooving is available for board's 20mm and above.
